Outdoor security cameras are a must-have for any smart home. Installing wires is no easy task and dealing with constant battery charging is not something most people want to do all the time.  With the EufyCam 2 Pro though, they say the batteries can last up to 365 days. An entire year, oh my!  Dreams do come true but how does it stack up to their previous version?  Let's talk about it. 

PROs -  no monthly fees as it records to the included Homebase, wireless

CONs - Price too high;  No noticeable difference between the 1080p version vs the Pro 2K version, Pro version has an issue with HomeKit Secure Video (HKSV) as it will not record more than a second or two for each clip; Download clips from the Pro version are in 1080p, not the advertised 2K (FYI: HomeKit mode was off);   HomeKit does not support the 2-way talk feature although the Eufy app has 2-way talking,

Both Cameras are using HomeKit, Optimal Surveillance setting, highest motion setting & all motion reported notifications are on, 1080p setting (HomeKit requirement) 

PRO version
