Meet the all-new August WiFi Smart Lock. Not only is it now smaller but it's also one of the first smart locks with fully integrated WiFi. Meaning no need for a bridge or a gateway for remote connectivity. All the great features of the previous August Smart Lock Pro like integrations with Alexa, Google, and Homekit, but now it's smaller and now even better.
One of the things I cut out of the video due to time constraints was the testing of the time difference controlling the lock between a Bluetooth connection and a WiFi connection. There was a significant delay each and every time using the lock in WiFi. Not a huge issue and it's not a Pro or Con.
PROs - ability to use the lock via WiFi without a bridge or gateway, smaller than the previous version that was way too big, looks great, feels well made and solid, secure,
CONs - cost, HomeKit doesn't work unless you're within Bluetooth range of your Homekit Hub or iPhone,
